We started our journey in the craft industry in 2004 as a hobby which quickly became an obsession.

Soon there was lots of interest in the products we were making at first by family and friends, closely followed by craft fair organisers, members of the public and small independant shops. In 2009 we began making jewellery pieces to add to our range and after much feedback by our growing list of customers we took the decision to register a business called Downland Crafts on the 15th July 2010.

We found there was also a need for affordable paper crafting and jewellery making supplies in Ireland as crafters were often having to pay large shipping costs to buy from overseas. Our range has been steadily growing ever since and we always welcome suggestions for items you would like us to stock.

Our first love is stamping and we were delighted to launch our own range of clear photopolymer stamps in 2015.

As we have done with our repeat customers we would welcome the opportunity to earn your trust and deliver you the best service in the craft industry, so take a look around our website and give us a try.

In 2012 we added event organising to our portfolio so keep and we know host 3 events per year in the Slieve Russell Hotel, Ballyconnell, Co. Cavan, Summer, Autumn and Christmas.

Note: This interview went out live and not realising at the time and only noticing now we have watched it back it has come to our attention that Brian mistakenly gave the impression that we organised the craft fair events at the O'Reilly Festival and the Backyard and unfortunately we didn't catch it to correct him. We cannot take credit for these events as they are not ours, we did however this year hold fairs in the Farnham Hotel Cavan, Slieve Russell Hotel Ballyconnell, Community Centre Milltown, The Mountview Pub Derrylin and The Enniskillen Hotel. Apologies for any confusion this may have caused.
